- Notable Features: The entire project was designed, including procuring building permit, contractor award, and construction completion, and filled with salt in less than 5 months to satisfy DPW occupancy by the first anticipated snow day (November 1st), at which time, it snowed. 

- Project Summary: The District of Columbia (DC) Government, Department of General Services, on behalf of the Department of Public Works (DPW) requested Alphatec perform architectural and engineering services for the preparation of the design and construction documents of a Salt Dome for DC government use, located at Fort Reno, N.W., Washington, D.C., adjacent to Alice Deal Junior High School.
