PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Alphatec provided total A/E services for the new design and construction of the secure modified Type II hangar space for a single large aircraft (C-5 Galaxy) or up to four quadrants for smaller aircraft. The primary mission of the Aircraft Prototype Facility (APF) is to support secure project areas and/or other classified/compartmentalized projects by providing a secure environment in which classified modifications can be made to combat vehicles, principally aircraft, including, but not limited to, the installation of special mission system equipment, the alteration of the aerodynamic envelope of an air vehicle, and the installation of propulsion system hardware.
